The Challenge

Following restrictions being lifted from covid, every destination is desperate to grab attention and drive visitors. The digital space has become hugely competitive, and owning a direct relationship with potential visitors is more challenging than ever.

The Work

Through stunning creative and paid media activity, we funnelled users to drive valuable data capture and grow their social channels through a competition. This highly relevant customer data is critical to ensure ongoing open lines of communication.

The Results

With a mammoth reach and over 60,000 website visitors, we generated 12,500 relevant and engaged GDPR-compliant emails. A fantastic result.

The brief

Famously adored for its white beaches and sunny climes, Mauritius is a stunning Island east of Madagascar. But it's so much more. A feat of culture, history, wellness and cuisine, there are 1,200 miles of beautiful coastline to discover.

Here at Navigate, we were delighted to have been selected again by the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) to promote the stunning African country as a prime holiday spot and up-market destination. They work closely with the local and global tourism industry to help promote the island. 

Our three objectives

Our approach

The campaign

We wanted to create and execute a highly-effective social media campaign to drives awareness of the #TakeMEtoMauritiusNOW campaign and delivered vital and useful data capture. 

The idea was to inspire and excite new audiences about travelling to Mauritius for a holiday.

Paid Media

Multiple ad sets were set up, each dedicated to a specific audience with targeting adjusted to best promote the competition to those audiences.
 A separate campaign was also set up to promote engagement with the Mauritius Facebook page. This had a broader targeting option with the objective of driving people to the Facebook page and growing the social media audience.

A total reach of over 550,000 was achieved, along with 1.5 million impressions from the campaign.
