The Navigate Academy is a 12-month paid media training programme for graduates who want to build practical digital marketing skills from day one.

You'll work on live campaigns for museums, wildlife organisations, heritage sites and visitor attractions, while learning directly from experienced paid media specialists in Bristol.

Alongside structured platform training, reporting and campaign management experience, you'll receive face-to-face mentoring and gradual ownership across real client accounts.

Successful completion of the programme leads into a permanent Paid Media Executive role at Navigate.

Following successful completion of the Navigate Academy, you'll progress into a permanent Paid Media Executive role with a starting salary of £28k.

As a programme graduate, you'll move into the wider Navigate team with continued mentoring, development opportunities and full company benefits.

Q1Months 1–3

Foundation

  • Learn Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta.
  • Understand campaign structure, setup and naming.
  • Shadow live accounts and observe real decisions.
  • Support weekly reporting and analysis.
  • Complete your first platform certifications.
Q2Months 4–6

Contribution

  • Build and launch campaign elements under supervision.
  • Write, test and analyse ad copy.
  • Present performance data with clear recommendations.
  • Own defined weekly account tasks.
  • Learn audience targeting and keyword strategy.

Independence

  • Own smaller campaigns end-to-end.
  • Make optimisation decisions with confidence.

Who this programme suits.

You don't need agency experience or platform certifications before applying. We're looking for curious, thoughtful people who want to learn.

Essential
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and interpreting data.
  • Clear written communication.
  • Highly organised across multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and genuinely curious.
  • Interested in digital marketing and campaign performance.
Desirable
  • A degree in marketing, business, data or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Exposure to digital marketing through internships, placements or personal projects.
  • Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets or analytics tools.
  • Experience running your own ad campaigns, however small.
  • An interest in tourism, heritage, culture or the nature sector.

We don't expect you to arrive knowing the answers.

We're not expecting finished experts. The programme is built for people who ask good questions, think carefully and are willing to develop over time.

Who will I report to?

You'll sit within the paid media team and be supported by senior paid media specialists. There are no direct reports for this role.

Where is the programme based?

Navigate is based in Bristol. The role includes hybrid working, with regular in-person support, training and mentoring from the team.

What does success look like?

By the end of the programme, you should be confidently supporting campaign setup, understanding core performance metrics, contributing to reporting and taking ownership of smaller campaigns or accounts.

Do I need paid media experience?

No. Experience helps, but it isn't essential. We're more interested in how you think, how you approach problems and whether you're genuinely willing to learn.
